In going thru our files searching for cocktails we've shared with you over the years (you know, to find something fun for the 4th), we came across this one from 3 years ago. Granted, initially this was presented for a Cinco De Mayo celebration, but who is going to present opposition to a delicious, fruity, margarita for July 4th? That's what we thought too. We've all made/had strawberry margaritas plenty of times. However, have you ever thought of a blueberry version? We hadn't either...until this recipe! So grab some tequila and blueberries, and get blending this weekend!
Ingredients: (makes 2 drinks)
-2 1/2 cups frozen blueberries
-1 cup crushed ice
-1/2 cup silver tequila
-2 1/2-3 tablespoons sugar
-2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
-1 tablespoon triple sec
-lime juice and coarse sugar to rim glasses
Instructions: Place all ingredients into the blender. Starting on low, gradually increase to get a smooth mixture. Rim the glasses with lime and dip in sugar.
