According to WSOC-TV, a six-year-old girl from South Carolina enlisted the help of a pilot recently.

Lena Larmon from Lexington was taking a nap as she and her family returned to Columbia via Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport. Her family was on the last leg of a flight that originated in Norway and had a 36-hour delay in New York City.

That's a lot of flying for anyone. But Lena had a special problem arise. When she awoke from sleeping on the plane she was missing a tooth. And she couldn't find it! How was she going to cash in by leaving the tooth for the Tooth Fairy?

The Captain of the flight offered to help Lena. Captain Josh Duchow offered to write a note to the tooth fairy to explain the situation.

Problem solved and of course, Lena is ready for her payday! Lena put her note under her pillow and was rewarded with $6. She also received a note back from the tooth fairy.

It said, ‘Lena, it is OK that you have lost your tooth on the airplane. I will get it. Keep brushing,’”
