Having spent an inordinate time on the beaches of South Carolina this summer, I can attest to one thing:  it's hot.  Now, on days where you get a good, steady breeze, it's not so bad.  However, on those other days?  You'd kill for something like this.  I must admit, I'm ashamed I've never thought about this, it's really so simple.  I mean, you're never NOT without a cooler or two at the beach.  Why not turn one into a portable air conditioner?!

Okay, I already know what you are thinking..."Where are you going to plug in a fan on the beach?!"  Boys and girls, let me introduce you to the wondrous world of Amazon.com and its selection of battery-powered, portable fans.  I've only got one beach trip left for the summer (and it'll be a brief one), so I don't know if I'll get it done for this year, but by next?  We will be the envy of everyone with their toes in the sand...oh yes we will!
