Luke Bryan Sings ‘Drink A Beer’ With Two Boys Who Lost Their Dad
Luke Bryan spotted a boy in the audience at his recent show in Connecticut wearing a shirt that read, “Our Dad died, can we sing ‘Drink a Beer Together?” He pulled the boy and his brother out of the crowd to do just that.
One fan posted a video of the moment on TikTok, and after the boys were helped onto the stage, Luke put the neon yellow shirt on himself. He asked one boy, When did you all lose your dad? and the boy answered 5/12/22. Bryan launched into the chorus of “Drink A Beer,” a song he wrote about the death of his brother and sister. He sang with both boys, “So I’m gonna sit right here / On the edge of this pier / Then watch the sunset disappear / And drink a beer.”
Luke then whipped a tear from one boy’s cheek and gave them both a hug.
