Yellowstone Star Gives Stern Warning About What To Expect

Let me start by saying I *KNOW* I am so late to the party.  This summer, as I've been spending an inordinate number of intimate hours on an elliptical machine, I have jumped on the "Yellowstone" bandwagon.  I cannot spend an hour each day staring at numbers on a machine, so I've got to have distraction and that show's first four seasons have done the trick (along with a couple of other shows).  It may be the best show on TV right now.  My favorite movie(s) of all-time are "The Godfather" films and "Yellowstone" is essentially the "Corleone" family set on a Montana Ranch.  If you haven't seen it, check it out, and you'll no doubt realize why the likes of country singer Lainey Wilson have jumped at the chance to join the cast.

One person who hasn't leapt at the opportunity to join the "Dutton Ranch" ensemble is one who is more than qualified to do so:  Cody Johnson.  Not only is he a former rodeo rider, but according to Cody he was also named "Best Actor" in high school. <g> So, why turn down the chance for exposure like this?  Well, here's the story.  According to Johnson,  "Yellowstone" creator Taylor Sheridan offered him a role in “Yellowstone.” Unfortunately, Cody had to turn it down due to prior commitments that had him booked a year out.  “For what I would’ve had to cancel, I would’ve lost a pretty significant amount of money. So, I said, ‘Nah, I can’t do that.'"

Dang, he'd be perfect for the show.  Maybe next season?
