Check Out The World’s Strongest Woman In Action
Tamara Walcott is a name I never heard before this morning. How? I don’t know. Walcott may be the most impressive athlete-male or female-I’ve seen in a while. The magic number was 1,609 pounds. That was the world’s record for the women’s compound lift (squat, deadlift, and bench press). I use the past tense, because that record is no more.
Four years ago, Tamara Walcott started lifting weights to get in shape and lose weight. Well, at the 2022 World Raw Powerlifting Federation American Pro in Manassas, Virginia, when she smashed through that magic number to set a new world record. Her total? 1,620.4 pounds. Wow!
