Dolly Parton, Shania Twain Honor Olivia Newton-John

Dolly Parton and Shania Twain are the latest country superstars to pay tribute to music icon Olivia Newton-John who died Monday (8/9) at age 73 after a long battle with breast cancer.

Dolly posted on her Instagram, “So sad to have lost my special friend Olivia Newton-John. So happy that our lives crossed paths. I know her voice is singing beautifully
with the angels. With Love, Doly.”

Her post was liked almost 150,000 times. One fan commented, “Like Dolly, Olivia transcended her tremendous talent by being a wondrous human being. I absolutely adored her.”

Shania posted to Twitter, “This one hit hard. Olivia inspired me with her voice, her strength, and her spirit. I followed her career from the pop stuff to movies and country music – Please, Mr. Please was on my childhood setlist! Thank you for sharing your talent with us all.”
