My Mama always told me, never ever EVER leave a penny on the ground. "I don't care how much money you think you have, you are  never too rich that you can't bend down and add one more penny to your pocket".  One lucky penny contributed to a big lottery win for a North Carolina guy named John Grant.

59 year old John is from Brunswick County and like so many of us, he bought a scratch off lottery ticket after stopping for gas. He stopped in at the May Way Corner Stop at Sunset Harbor.

When he came out of the store he noticed a penny right there near the tire of his truck.  He took that newfound penny and gave that lottery ticket a scratch.  Low and behold he had a winning Fabulous Fortune ticket.  Hurray!!  Suddenly, thanks to the help of that beat up old penny, John found himself with a whole lot more than just a cent for his days troubles.

John reportedly says, according the NC Education lottery, that he would like to buy a new Chevy truck and maybe put a little back for later.

What would you do if you won all that money?
