I sure do miss it.  Price's Chicken Coop has been closed for a few months now and was that ever a hit for those of us who work within  walking distance of the iconic walk up chicken restaurant. Not sure what they did to make that chicken so delicious and they did it for over sixty years.

There are just a handful of establishments in Charlotte that are/were as iconic as Price's.  But the family decided it was time to close shop citing labor shortages and rising food prices.  The spot will now be home for some as a high rise apartment building is set to go in there.

I am happy for the Price family.  They worked hard and provided the city with delicious chicken for as long as most of us can remember.  The Charlotte Observer says the 1/2 acre where the building stood was recently sold for nearly four million dollars.  For more details just go right here
