Sheriff’s Office Will No Longer Enforce Minor Traffic Violations
This is a sentence I never thought I would be writing down but according to Channel 9, Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s office will no longer be enforcing minor traffic violations.
This means, if we are reading this right, that they won’t pull you over due to a taillight being out, your windows are illegally tinted (too dark) or an inspections violation. If your inspections sticker is overdue, they reportedly won’t pull you over for that anymore in Mecklenburg County.
If you are stopped for speeding and they notice a taillight is out, they may cite you for that. But if it is just a busted taillight you allegedly will no longer be pulled over for that alone. For more information on how things will be done differently and why, you can get all the details right here from Channel 9.
