That Time Loretta Lynn Was On Letterman With Jack White

In 2004, Loretta Lynn made a guest appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman in a collaboration that was one of the most unlikely and historic of her career.  Lynn was backed by a band called The New Waters, whose lead guitarist was none other than Jack White.  In the set, Jack White appeared only as a member of the band.  His name was not mentioned in a nod to the legendary status of Loretta Lynn.  The collaboration goes down as one of the most unlikely and historic of Lynn's career.
