Tanner In The Morning

Weekdays 5:00AM - 10:00AM

Let’s just say Michael Montgomery of Autryville, North Carolina is an outdoorsy kinda  guy.  And when he scratched off his winning North Carolina Education Lottery Ticket right there in the store, he already had plans for all that cash.

The 41-year-old avid hunter and angler stopped by the Lucky 7 Express on Goldsboro Rd in Wade and thought, why buy a ticket.  Good decision!  He was feeling lucky after purchasing the $30 dollar 200 times the cash ticket and scratched it off right there in the store.  Then he ran to his truck, we are guessing to tell someone the good news. The song, “Huntin’, Fishin’, Lovin’ Everyday” by Luke Bryan comes to mind.

Michael picked up his winnings this week and after taxes, he takes home a check for $71,019 dollars.  He reportedly says he plans to do some home improvement and then do some hog hunting in Florida.  For more information and details check out Michael’s story from the North Carolina Education Lottery .
