New Oreo Flavor To Debut
Get ready for the new Oreo Snickerdoodle flavor to debut October 17th! The new cookie flavor combines sweetness and cinnamon spice. It features a snickerdoodle flavored basecake and cinnamon flavor creme with green and red sugar crystals. This combo gives us all the feels of fall and holidays. The limited edition flavor becomes available nationwide on the 17th at Walmart, Stop and Shop, Target and more. Snickerdoodle isn’t the first seasonal flavor Oreo has created. Over the years we remember Pumpkin Spice, Boo Designs, Neopolitan, Mint, Firework, Lemon and more. We even love incorporating Oreos into our favorite recipes.
Have you heard of all the Oreo flavors? This will make you want to try them all.
No doubt they’re all fantastic with milk! Ever wonder why? Methylbutanol, the flavor compound that cookies develop when baked, gets stronger when baked goods are wet. So, dunking intensifies the Oreo flavor! The biggest question for all Oreo lovers comes to the method of eating them! Do you dunk the whole thing? Do you separate them into pieces and scrape the filling out? So many ideas to ponder. This calls for multiple packages for experimentation. To reach the perfect saturation, dunk a maximum of 4 seconds. Here’s another fun fact I never knew. The plural of Oreo is simply Oreo. Wow. I’ve been doing it wrong for years. There’s no official ruling on this grammar point. So, I’ll continue adding the “S.” Those old habits die hard. Regardless, the delicious treat is a part of our history. Oreos have been around since 1912. We have Samuel Porcello, an American food scientist at Nabisco, to thank for the creation. I bet Samuel would be pleasantly surprised to see all the interesting variations of his masterpiece. I’ll be marking my calendar for October 17th.
