Warbirds Over Monroe Airshow Returns Next Weekend
We called Union County, North Carolina home for the first 15 years we lived in the Charlotte area. One of the staples of the UC each fall is the Warbirds Over Monroe Airshow. I always think of my dad. He LOVES World War II era aircraft, and the Monroe Airshow is one of the few times and places you can not just see them, but see them fly! The event takes place next weekend, November 12th and 13th at Charlotte Monroe Executive Airport. And as you can see from last year, it’s quite the spectacle.
The gates open at the airport each day at 9am and the show begins at around 12:30. Tickets at the gate cost $20 for adults, $5 for veterans, $15 for age 12 – 18, and under 12 are free. Parking is free. And the Warbirds Over Monroe Airshow is a rain or shine event, so come prepared.
Oh, and bring your lawn chairs, but coolers ARE NOT permitted. Other questions? Pets? No (unless service dog). Cameras? Of course. Smoking? No. All you need to know is on the airshow’s frequently asked questions page.
