My first thought when seeing a story about secret codes on Netflix unlocking some movies was, "Because there just aren't enough movies on Netflix?"  Seriously?  But okay, I'll bite.  So, like everything else on social media, the choices you see on your Netflix homepage are curated based on what you've watched.  So, follow the logic.  If you'd like to stream a movie or TV show from a genre that ISN'T available on your main page (ie not one you peruse often), it's going to be harder for you to find.  With me still?  To solve this issue, it turns out there are actually THOUSANDS of codes that make searching easier.  According to The Independent, these codes correlate with some pretty specific genres, ranging from “Romantic Foreign Movies” to “B-Horror Movies”, and they’ve been put in one place for you to scroll through. To visit each genre’s webpage, all you need to do is input the four-digit code into your web browser after the following address: http://www.netflix.com/browse/genre/.  NOTE:  This only works on the website, and won’t be available on phones, Firesticks, etc.
