Trendy Miracle Pop-Up cocktail bar comes to Charlotte's South End Backstage Lounge this holiday season.   Basically, Miracle is a Christmas themed bar that literally "pops up" in locations to serve cocktails in a festive setting.  Owner Greg Boehm started the concept in 2014.  That's when he decided to stop construction of his East Village bar.  So, he took the unfinished space and turned it into a pop-up bar.  Then, Boehm decorated with an over the top Christmas theme and served drinks to the crowds.  Soon, they flocked to the location.  And, the concept gained popularity with his friends in the industry.   Many requested to recreate the idea in their own space.  As a result, the Miracle concept expanded to 4 locations the next year.  And, by 2016 it was worldwide.  Locations include Greece, Montreal and Paris.  Currently,  Miracle pops up all over the U.S., Canada, Europe, Asia and Central America.

So, starting November 23, Miracle pop-up bar will come to Backstage Lounge on South Boulevard.  The Charlotte pop-up will open 7 nights a week. Backstage Lounge bills itself as "your neighborhood speakeasy."  We held an event there recently, and it's such a cool vibe.  Therefore, I can only imagine how fun a holiday gathering with friends or co-workers will be.  And, the modern take on the speakeasy concept adds a certain mystique that's inviting.  You find the entrance behind SouthBound.  Although, there's no membership required.  However, guests get the feeling they belong to an exclusive club once inside.  Plus, it's available for private events as well.  And, the food and drink menu looks amazing.  You find everything from bar bites like Elote and wings to salads, burgers and tacos.  In addition, the drinks feature classics like Old Fashioneds to Mules, wines, beer and ciders.

Furthermore, the Miracle Pop-Up website indicates more North Carolina locations in Asheville, Mooresville and Raleigh.  And, they'll be in South Carolina, too.  Plus, they plan locations this holiday season in Greenville, Mount Pleasant and Myrtle Beach.
