The Brothers Osborne won the CMA for Vocal Duo of The Year for the fifth time at last night's (11/9) CMA Awards in Nashville, and when the guys got to the stage to say their thank yous, John Osborne announced that his wife, Lucie Silvas, also a country artist, is pregnant.
Backstage just minutes after their win, John told us that he really did not intend to make that announcement, but he panicked. He said his wife had no idea that he was going to make that personal announcement, "No, no, she did not know. Lucie didn't know. I guess I got nervous and didn't know what to say; Wynonna's standing right next to me, you look up and see the clock going, and I'm like, 'I'm so nervous right now.' You never prepare for these; you never expect to win, and I looked over and I saw Lucie right there and I just wanted to tell the world."
After revealing that the couple is actually having twins, John joked, "My intention was to have twins, to raise them up as our successors, so we'll raise them up, and we will try to use as much nepotism as possible to get them in the industry, but as long as we're in the game I'm gonna keep them out."
The duo was also blown away that Country Music Hall of Famer Wynonna Judd of the Judds, who won the Vocal Duo of the Year honor four times in a row from 1988 to 1991 in their career, handed them the award. TJ said backstage, "I will say, though, being on stage and accepting this award from Wynonna presenting it was just mind-blowing to me. I'm still processing that moment. The history and it feels in those moments almost like carrying of the torch. I'm still like, 'Wow, that was cool.'"
The Brothers Osborne also had one of the night's top performances, a tribute to The Rolling Stones performing "It's Only Rock and Roll (But I Like It)" along with the new country duo War And Treaty. The song is part of an upcoming country music tribute album to the Stones. TJ said backstage of the tribute album, "I remember growing up that country always did those kinds of things, and I always loved those albums. I love to see different people's interpretations." He added, "They're kind of hard because you're trying to redo something that is perfect."
Stone Cold Country, the tribute album, will be out on March 17, 2023.

The best part of all awards shows is, of course, the fashion. Take a look below at all the hits and misses of the night:
Jelly Roll and Bunnie Xo
Jason Kempin/Getty ImagesThis was a bit of a train wreck, fashionwise.
Michael Shannon
Jason Kempin/Getty ImagesThe actor looked a little weird with no facial hair and the boyish hairstyle. Definitely hoping not to see this look last long.
HARDY
Jason Kempin/Getty ImagesHARDY took no risks here. His music is great, but here, he looked very plain and boring.
Sam Williams
Jason Kempin/Getty ImagesSam Williams horrendous clown suit aside, his choker choice looks like a shock collar.
LoCash
Jason Kempin/Getty ImagesChris Lucas and Preston Brust looked gaudy on the red carpet with Chris' silver floral blazer and Preston's feather-in-the-hat and black-striped pants combo. So tacky.
Midland
Jason Kempin/Getty ImagesThe men of Midland all donned mustaches, with Mark Wystrach (center) having the most presentable facial hair. Cameron Duddy (left) looks the most frumpy with his white tee and mustache combo.
MacKenzie Porter

Not only is this gown the lesser-version of Kelsea Ballerini's dress, but the bright and bold blue is just too much.
Caitlyn Smith
Jason Kempin/Getty ImagesCaitlyn Smith seems to have gotten permission to be out tonight, with her ankle-monitor-looking shoe.
Daira Eamon and Lily Rose
Jason Kempin/Getty ImagesWe're not too crazy about Daira Eamon's jumpsuit. The color and fit of it is not flattering to her body.
Valerie Ponzio
Jason Kempin/Getty ImagesThe white undershirt ruins the all black ensemble, and the fringe doesn't elevate the outfit at all.
Ingrid Andress
Jason Kempin/Getty ImagesSince it is now November, the bra top doesn't seem appropriate for the season.
Miranda Lambert
Jason Kempin/Getty ImagesMiranda has worn some legendary outfits to award shows but this isn't one of them. We love what she wore during her performances more than what she wore on the red carpet.
Kelsea Ballerini
Jason Kempin/Getty ImagesThe neon blue is just an eyesore despite how beautiful Kelsea is.
Priscilla Block
Jason Kempin/Getty ImagesWe can't wait for this trend of having the shoes connected to the leg to stop appearing on the red carpet.
Jenee Fleenor
Jason Kempin/Getty ImagesThough the cut of the dress is cute and fits her nicely, the coral color isn't working for us.
Cole Swindell
Jason Kempin/Getty ImagesCole Swindell took a subtle fashion risk with this bedazzled denim jacket. Just kidding, it's not that risky, but he looks good in it.
Jordan Davis and Kristen O'Connor
Jason Kempin/Getty ImagesThe couple played it safe at the CMAs, but we like the heart-shaped purse Kristen brought.
Luke Bryan and Peyton Manning
Jason Kempin/Getty ImagesThe hosts of the night kept things classy in classic tuxes.
Ashley Gorley
Jason Kempin/Getty ImagesWe're loving the texture of this blue velvet suit!
Carly Pearce
Jason Kempin/Getty ImagesCarly Pearce looked sexy with a simple white gown with a center cutout.
Jessie James Decker
Jason Kempin/Getty ImagesJessie James Decker wore an elegant yet sexy red gown with a sculpted brassiere.
Lindsay Ell
Jason Kempin/Getty ImagesLindsay kept things fierce in this sexy leopard-print dress.
Jake Owen and Erica Hartlein
Jason Kempin/Getty ImagesWe are loving Jake's bold red blazer! What a nice pairing with Erica's simple black gown.
Madeline Edwards
Jason Kempin/Getty ImagesMadeline Edwards' cutout gown is refreshing with a chain detailing at the waist.
Kat & Alex
Jason Kempin/Getty ImagesKat Luna wore a sparkling espresso gown, while Alex Garrido's suit had really cool embroidery!
Reba McEntire
Jason Kempin/Getty ImagesReba got the memo that blue compliments redheads and did just that tonight.
Danielle Bradbery
Jason Kempin/Getty ImagesDanielle looked stunning in this all-white gown with a cascading cape.
Jon Pardi and Summer Ducan
Jason Kempin/Getty ImagesJon Pardi just looks happy to be here, while Summer Ducan brought out all the glam.
Thomas Rhett and Lauren Akins
Jason Kempin/Getty ImagesLauren Akins stole all the shine with her glamorous glittering green gown.
Tiera Kennedy
Jason Kempin/Getty ImagesTiera Kennedy went full-holographic with her stiletto boots and periwinkle sparkling blazer-dress.
Marcus King
Jason Kempin/Getty ImagesMarcus' smile is infectious and he looks really good in this contrast detailed blazer!
Breland
Jason Kempin/Getty ImagesWe are loving the ombre effect of Breland's suit! He just looks really cool and fashionable.
Megan Moroney
Jason Kempin/Getty ImagesThis light blue shimmering sweetheart gown is cute and sexy with the thigh-high feathery slit.
O.N.E The Duo
Jason Kempin/Getty ImagesThe Duo's gown colors compliment each other beautifully.
Dierks Bentley
Jason Kempin/Getty ImagesDierks Bentley looks SO handsome in this grey embroidered suit!
Brian Kelley and Brittney Marie Cole
Jason Kempin/Getty ImagesWe love a matching couple! Brittany's embroidered lace nude gown is so pretty.
Pillbox Patti
Jason Kempin/Getty ImagesPillbox Patti's gown is form-fitting and flattering. Just classic elegance.
Lainey Wilson
Jason Kempin/Getty ImagesLainey Wilson's outfits are always loud, and this rust-toned velvet outfit is one of her coolest!
Carrie Underwood
Jason Kempin/Getty ImagesCarrie's layered blue fabric gown give such an interesting denim/water effect. Very cool!
Katy Perry
Jason Kempin/Getty ImagesKaty Perry made an appearance at the 2022 CMAs, wearing a full-on denim getup. She actually made it look really cute.
Chapel Hart
Jason Kempin/Getty ImagesWe love how the trio all incorporated nude tones in different ways! Trea Swindle's disco ball outfit really hit it out of the park.
Sarah Drew
Jason Kempin/Getty ImagesSarah Drew looks like a princess in this beaded white gown with a matching mesh cape!
Brothers Osborne
Jason Kempin/Getty ImagesTwo brothers: two completely different styles. While T.J. went for a dapper double breasted suit, John went all-out with furs, velvets and gator boots.
Kimberly Schlapman
Jason Kempin/Getty ImagesKimberly Schlapman looks like a princess in this baby pink gown with trailing leaf detail.
Jessica Chastain
Jason Kempin/Getty ImagesChastain wore a beautiful deep blue bedazzled gown, complimenting her luscious red locks.
Reyna Roberts
Jason Kempin/Getty ImagesWe are loving the flounced arms on this lacy red jumpsuit, which perfectly matches her red hair! If only her bra wasn't slightly peeking through, this look would've been perfect.
Ashley McBryde
Jason Kempin/Getty ImagesAshley kept things edgy with this black gown with deep green sequins.
Caylee Hammack
Jason Kempin/Getty ImagesCaylee Hammack is exuding classy elegance with her feathered opera gloves and gilded fan!
Elle King and Dan Tooker
Jason Kempin/Getty ImagesThis is the best-dressed coordinated couple of the evening. Elle's orange dress fits her beautifully, while her fiance's tweed suit matches her flair.
