Dolly Parton Gets $100 Million From Jeff Bezos To Donate As She Chooses

Dolly Parton’s charitable spirit got a big boost from Jeff Bezos over the weekend, as the billionaire Amazon founder announced a $100 million grant for Dolly to donate in any way she sees fit.

Dolly accepted the Bezos Courage and Civility Award Friday.

Dolly’s philanthropy has nearly overshadowed her musical career in recent years.  She made headlines during the Covid pandemic when she donated a million dollars to Vanderbilt University for vaccine development.

Dolly said in a Twitter post, “I try to put my money where my heart is. I will do my best to do good things with this money (heart emoji) Thank you @JeffBezos.”
