Charlotte Icon Larry Sprinkle Involved In Car Fire Incident At Belmont, NC Parade
Larry Sprinkle is fine and nobody was injured. That’s the good news, But according to WCNC, he was involved in a car fire at a local Belmont parade. Larry Sprinkle has been a fixture in Charlotte media for many years. He has been part of the Belmont Christmas Parade for 30 years.
The 1962 Thunderbird, which Sprinkle had been riding in during the parade, caught fire while the parade was happening. Larry said he could smell exhaust while riding in the parade. Then someone yelled to get out of the car. The vehicle had caught fire.
Luckily firefighters were nearby and quickly put out the fire. Nobody was hurt in the incident. Sprinkle said firefighters pushed the car out of the way and the parade continued.
In typical Larry Sprinkle fashion, he said “I jumped in with the mayor of Belmont and finished up the parade.”
