Popular Sandwich Shop Opens New Location In Ballantyne North Carolina

I really enjoy a good Banh Mi sandwich.  In fact, I just wrote a story recently about food trends for the new year.  And, one of the trending items was pickled foods.  The pickled veggies are one of my favorite parts of the Banh Mi.  Now, a popular sandwich shop opens a new location in Ballantyne Village.  Crispy Banh Mi has three other locations in and around Charlotte.  The family owned business first opened in 2016.  And, according to The Charlotte Observer, Banh Mi connoisseurs have eleven varieties to choose from at Crispy Banh Mi.  The Crispy’s Favorite has ham, pork roll, head cheese and grilled chicken.  Plus, there’s also grilled pork or chicken.  Furthermore, there’s even an option for vegetarians.  All the sandwiches feature carrots, daikon, cucumbers, cilantro and jalapeno.  Additions include avocado, fried egg or added meat at an upcharge.

And, if you’re looking for something besides a sandwich, you’re in luck.  Crispy Banh Mi also has wings, salads, and cold Vietnamese rice vermicelli noodle bowls.  The bowls come with lettuce, cucumber, mint, cilantro and pickled carrots and daikon.  I love the fresh aspect of the choices.  In case you’re unfamiliar with exactly what Banh Mi is, it’s quite simply delicious.  To give a little more detail, it’s a Vietnamese sandwich on a baguette, split and filled with a combination of meats and vegetables.  It typically includes the pickled veggies and fresh herbs such as cilantro or mint.  It sometimes includes a spread of mayo or a red chile sauce.  You can find other locations of Crispy Banh Mi Sandwiches & Cafe on South Blvd., Shamrock Dr. and Ayrsley Town Blvd. in Charlotte.  For more info visit their website and browse the menu.  And, check out the newest location of the popular sandwich shop.

What is a Philly Cheesesteak? Well, besides being delicious, it is a hot sandwich made with ribeye steak, caramelized onion, and provolone cheese. March 24th is National Cheesesteak day! Can I get some fries with that? I grew up in New Jersey, so when we took the hour and change trip to Philly, you best know we got ourselves a delicious cheesesteak.

    You must try the best Philly cheesesteak outside of Philadelphia if you’re ever in Charlotte, North Carolina. According to their website, they use quality ingredients to ensure their customers get the great taste they are known for. The address is 8535 Hankins Rd, Charlotte, NC 28269.   • 4. Steak 'n Hoagie Shop

    The Steak ‘n Hoagie Shop has been serving Philadelphia-style cheesesteaks and hoagies in the Carolinas since 1979. The cheesesteaks are grilled to order and are always delicious.     Oh baby this BBQ Cheesesteak looks so good. A fan favorite at Midwood Smokehouse in Charlotte is this brisket-style cheesesteak. This menu item comes with caramelized onions, white American cheese, mayo, and is served on a toasted roll. Midwood Smokehouse has several locations you can visit and enjoy.

  • 6. Clover Joe's

    Located in the Third Ward, Clover Joe’s is a spot for a good cheesesteak sandwich. Served on 8″ toasted Italian bread this is a yummy cheesesteak. You can get it with or without peppers and onions. You can check out the menu and order here.

    Wow, look at these amazing cheesesteaks. If you head to the South Park Mall you can snag one! Charleys Philly Steaks founder and CEO Charley Shin tasted his first Philly Cheesesteak back in 1985.  You can see more on ordering here.

    There are several American Deli locations in the Charlotte area. If you want a Philly cheesesteak, you can have your choice of freshly grilled beef or chicken. Then it is topped with lightly sautéed green peppers, onions, mushrooms and melted cheese all on a toasted soft hoagie roll. You can place an order and find the location nearest you here.
