Popular North Carolina Cheerwine Festival Announces It’s 2023 Return To Salisbury

Author Melanie Day
January 10th 9:17 AM

It’s one of our favorite events of the year. The Cheerwine Festival! And the festival returns this May to Salisbury, N.C. with live entertainment, family fun, and more. The festival celebrating it iconic cherry-flavored soda (if you’re new to NC this is to “wine” in Cheerwine) will take place May 20th, 2023 from noon to 10 pm. It’s a family-friendly event that features local and national bands, Cheerwine-inspired food and drinks, arts and crafts, kids’ activities, and more. Stay tuned for the full musical lineup to be announced in the coming weeks.

“We can’t wait for everyone to join us in celebrating the unique flavors, sights, and sounds of the Carolinas this May,” says Joy Ritchie Harper. Harper is vice president of marketing for Cheerwine and a fifth-generation founding family member. “Last year we hosted 60,000 people and hope to welcome even more this spring for our best event yet.”

The festival was launched in 2017 to celebrate the drinks on the 100th anniversary. After such a great response the event became an annual one. The Cheerwine Festival returned last year after a Covid hiatus. Since the inaugural event, the Festival has welcomed tens of thousands of attendees annually and boosted the city’s economy by millions of dollars.

Vendor applications for food, beverages and crafts are now open at: cheerwinefest.com. Merchants have between now and February 10 to submit applications. For more information on the festival visit: cheerwine.com/festival/. Fans can also find details as they are announced by searching the hashtag #CheerwineFest on social media. Not sure who is more excited us or Salisbury!
