Spy Ballon Debris Expected To Wash Ashore In The Carolinas
Officials are warning beachgoers not to touch or move any possible Chinese spy balloon debris that may wash up on the beaches in Carolinas. This is according to CBS17.
Police in Sunset Beach warned residents not to touch or move any of the balloon’s debris. Sunset Beach police said in a news release, “These stray pieces are expected to wash ashore in the North Carolina area.” Police said the debris is part of a federal investigation and no one should touch or remove it.
In Horry County officials said anyone who sees debris along the coast is asked to contact Horry County dispatch at 843-248-1520 or the North Myrtle Beach non-emergency number at 843-280-5511.
