Charlotte Hornets Now Have Their Own Oreo Cookie

Oreos are always a slam dunk, but not just in a glass of milk. Now the iconic cookie brand has teamed up with the NBA and created something special to celebrate the upcoming 2023 All-Star Weekend, February 17-19 in Salt Lake City. These are no ordinary Oreos.

According to Chew Boom, Oreo has introduced the new NBA x OREOiD custom team cookie collection. That’s right, you can now get your favorite NBA team in cookie form. The limited-edition Oreos feature the logos of all 30 NBA teams, including the Charlotte Hornets.

While the cookies have been rolled in a generous amount of team color sprinkles, they are a bit pricey. A 12-count box sells for $39.95, shipping not included. Check out the whole collection HERE.

When many of us were kids, we dreamed of growing up to play professional sports. The percentage of people who actually end up doing that is minuscule. Some folks who still want to be heavily involved in sports as adults go into team management, coaching, or sportscasting. And a fortunate few become team owners.

Several celebrities who love basketball have put their money where their hearts are to own at least a piece of an NBA team. While Charlotte Hornets owner Michael Jordan is certainly a celebrity, he’s not on this list from Essentially Sports. That’s probably because he’s been involved in the business of basketball for most of his adult life. Well, we’re including him below because we like Mike!
