My family goes to this every year and loves it. You can meet real monsters at this convention coming soon in North Carolina.
Characters from classic horror to modern horror icons swoop in to Concord February 17- February 19. My husband, son and daughter go every year. I would go but I’m too chicken. They are scary enough on the big screen ! Just who is coming to the Mad Monster Party this year? Freddy Krueger (Robert Englund), Peter Criss (Kiss) and many more characters from the American Horror Story series just to name a few. This convention is a dream come true for fans of the horror movie genre.
Convention hours are 6-10 on Friday,11-7 on Saturday and 11-5 Sunday. Along with the monsters over one hundred vendors will be there selling collectibles. You will have an opportunity to meet your favorite characters and sometimes there is a cost for a meet and greet and picture. But if you can’t afford to pay for pictures, do what my family does and just give them a wave. If you dare. And most of the monsters are happy to wave back.
Tickets are 35 dollars for a day pass. To learn more about this year’s Mad Monster Party , get details from Channel 9 right here.
The Experts Say These Are The 13 Best Things To Do In Charlotte North Carolina
Often times when you live somewhere it’s easy to get complacent and not take advantage of everything that location has to offer. And this list proves that for sure. I’ve lived in Charlotte for most of my life and still haven’t checked off everything on this list. And some of them I haven’t done since the school field trip days. This list, the 13 best things to do in Charlotte, was compiled by US News and World Report. It contains what their experts perceive as the best attractions in Charlotte. The heavy hitter tourist attractions of course made the list, though not all in the spots I would have guessed. Popular shopping areas Southpark Mall and Concord Mills mall were noticeably (at least to this shopping addict) missing.
And it also includes a few “under the radar” places that you may not have thought of as the best things to do in Charlotte. This includes a park, several museums, and even a food hall. So they next you find yourself bored and not sure what to do, give this list a look over and explore your city. You may just find your new favorite spot. Or be reminded of an old favorite you’d forgotten about. After all #CharlottesGotALot.
