Hip Hop Caucus Field Director Brandi Williams Honored with Eatmon Award for Educating and Engaging Black Voters

We’ve known the Charlotte native Brandi Williams for her community activism. Williams was honored with The Eatmon Award by For The Struggle Inc. (FTS) for her commitment to the community. She has been educating and engaging Black voters in Charlotte, and she does it so well. WIlliams is the Field Director with Hip Hop Caucus’ Good Trouble Civil & Human Rights. The Struggle Inc.’s Annual Benefit Gala and Awards Ceremony took place on February 11, 2023, at 6 p.m. at Oasis Shriners in Charlotte, North Carolina. Brandi leads the civil and human rights and field campaign efforts for the Hip Hop Caucus. It’s a national nonprofit organization that uses the power of hip-hop culture to advance civil and human rights. Brandi is also the founder of SoulMed Holistic Health Collaborative, a health coaching program exclusively for Black women.

The Eatmon Award by For The Struggle Inc. is a really big deal. The mission of FTS is to utilize various outlets, including community outreach, policy reform, and legal action to advocate. They advocate on behalf of communities to fight systemic issues of racial and social injustice. Alesha Brown is the Founder and Executive Director of For The Struggle, Inc. Brown has worked with and for various organizations and sees the value. Brown founded FTS in May 2019 with the goal of creating an organization that truly focuses on the needs of the community needs from within by partnering with members and leaders of impacted communities. This organization is a nice nonprofit to get involved with, by donating to FTS or volunteering.
