A massive alligator that made its way onto a Florida golf course has gone viral. USA Today says the gator showed up at Sebring Golf Course this week. That's where Rich Louty snapped a picture of the beast. The gator doesn't look particularly happy about being photographed.
Louty writes in a caption accompanying the photo on Facebook, "Welcome to Florida, home of Jurassic Park." Although no one got close enough to the gigantic reptile to actually weigh it, witnesses say it may come close to beating the state's alligator record of 14 feet, 3 1/2 inches long.
The heaviest gator ever found in Florida was 1,043 pounds, What's the largest animal you've encountered in the wild?
