I had someone give me advice many years ago when it comes to passing judgement, good or bad, on other people. No matter how “close” you are to them always remember this: you may THINK you know, but you DON’T know. This is especially true when it comes to marriages. You can have a couple that looks to the world to be the model of perfection; however, the truth is far from it. Case in point: Kelsea Ballerini and Morgan Evans. To the world they look like a storybook couple, right? Now, I’m not saying I know either person. However, as a celebrity/country music couple, their union was a very public thing. And its dissolution is becoming even more public and messy.
Each has released some great music dealing with the breakup. My fave is this heartbreaking song from Morgan Evans.
Although the end of their marriage seemed amazingly sudden to you and me, come to find out there had been problems with their union almost from the start. Kelsea recently told the “Call Her Daddy” podcast that there was a major disconnection in their relationship, and they spent a great deal of time in therapy. And now, there’s a report from Page Six that Kelsea actually had an affair with a Grammy Award winning artist back in 2019.
The Chainsmokers’ Drew Taggart and Kelsea reportedly hooked up at Lollapalooza in the summer of that year. She had collaborated with the EDM group on the song, “The Feeling.” The picture above is of the two performing at the CMA Festival that summer.
Reportedly, 2 years later, Kelsea told Morgan she’d been unfaithful. No doubt this was a devasting revelation. Not sure where this is all going, or where it will end, but this storybook, fantasy relationship appears to have been more of a nightmare, for both Kelsea Ballerini and Morgan Evans.
