It’s hard to pick just one vacation spot in North Carolina. North Carolina in general has its perks from water to the mountains and several greenways to enjoy. In North Carolina, we have beaches or the Appalachian Mountains to ski, hike or grab some privacy. The landscapes are breathtaking and the air isn’t too bad, just depends on who you ask. North Carolina has at least 3oo plus miles of shoreline, with more than 25 distinct beaches. Every beach has unique offerings and sometimes you can do it on a budget. We have a plethora of beaches listed below.

Topsail Island is picturesque, but so are the Outer Banks  Topsail Island, Bald Head Island, and Wrightsville Beach. But you might like Emerald Isle as it sits in a town on Bogue Banks Island, part of North Carolina’s Crystal Coast. The Bogue Inlet Pier is a fisherman’s dream, and you can view the Atlantic Ocean. Don’t forget about Ocracoke Island for its village like-feel.  Ocracoke Island is part of North Carolina’s coastal Outer Banks region. Many site seekers enjoy the Lighthouse overlooking the village and Pamlico Sound. Set in an early 1900s house, the Ocracoke Preservation Society Museum traces the island’s history. The vehicle ferry ride takes about one hour. Once you arrive at the Ocracoke North Ferry Terminal, Ocracoke Village is approximately a 13-mile drive south on NC-12. The Ocracoke Express is a passenger ferry that runs between the Hatteras Ferry Terminal and the Ocracoke Ferry Terminal.
