Awww Luke.  You look like a sweet and sentimental guy and here is more proof that you are.  Luke Combs posts a really sweet first photo with his now wife, Nicole.  I don't care how big of a star Luke gets I will think of him as a hometown boy.  From Asheville to Charlotte to Boone to Nashville, he is just a great guy that is loving his life as a husband, father and country music star.

Luke took to social media to share a couple of special pictures .  They are both beautiful in their own way.  Luke shares the first pic he took with his now wife and the second is on their wedding day.  Luke has a brand new album coming out March 27 called "Growing Old".  And then world dominance! This is, well, precious.

He writes:

"From the second that I saw you, my whole world stood Still. After all this time, I’m just as in love as the day I made you mine. I ain’t stopped flying high and never will. I’m falling for you Still."

These Are North Carolina’s Top Ten Country Love Songs

Is there anything better than being in true sweet love? No genre of music moves love along better than country music. We all have our favorite. But these are North Carolina's favorite country love songs.  We went straight to the experts and surveyed over five thousand country music fans in both North and South Carolina through social media.  And then put together a list of the top ten best country love songs from 1995 til now.

My first crush was a little boy in my Shelby neighborhood, shout out to "Doug".  Doug gave me my very first case of butterflies in the stomach.  One day I got up the courage to ask Doug to be my boyfriend. He said yes and gave me a peck on the cheek. The George Strait song, "Check Yes or No" leaps to mind.  I knew right then I wanted that feeling to last forever. Doug and I did not last.  But other loves came along periodically along the way. No genre does love better than country music. Every story song takes you right back as if you never left that particular relationship.

There are so many great country love songs.  Really the list is endless.  Even though I have been playing country music on the radio for a couple of decades now, I needed five thousand plus local country music fans to let me know their favorites.  You delivered some great ones.

These are North Carolina's favorite love songs. Here are your top ten favorites from 1995 til now. Not in love? Check out the top Revenge Breakup Songs.

10: Die A Happy Man by Thomas Rhett

One of the things I love about Thomas Rhett is his storybook love  with his beautiful wife Lauren.  They met in elementary school and things became romantic a few years later.  They ARE everyone's couple goals and she has been his muse for many of his songs, including this one. They are living and loving life with their four daughters.  From 2015, you voted and at number 10 it's Thomas Rhett with Die A Happy Man.

9: To Make You Feel My Love by Garth Brooks

This song was actually written by Bob Dylan but Garth Brooks puts all the love in it.  Maybe you remember hearing it in the Sandra Bullock movie, "Hope Floats"? Pour yourself a glass of wine, stare deeply into each other's eyes and put on this 1997 Garth classic.

8: Whenever You Come Around by Vince Gill

Vince was one of the kings of 90s country and this is one of our favorites.  I have heard him say in interviews that this was the way he felt about his wife  Amy. "I get weak in the knees whenever you come around".  Could you just die.  I think you guys know how I feel about Vince Gill and it looks like I am not alone in loving this song.  From 1994 it's Vince Gill, Whenever You Come Around.

7: Forever After All by Luke Combs

This is the second time Luke's name came up in a local survey about love and heartbreak.  We love Luke when he sings a revenge break up song, a beer drinking song and we love him singing about love.  We are so happy this Carolina boy has love and happiness.  Coming in at #7 , Forever After All. This features footage from Luke's wedding, enjoy!

6: Speechless By Dan+ Shay

This song won just about every award there is.  Ever looked at your love and you were just speechless?  Black dresses tend to make that happen. From 2018 it's Speechless.

5: I Love The Way You Love Me by John Michael Montgomery

Now we are getting down to the top five and most of my country music experts went old school. It is hard to beat those 90s love songs.  This one hits me in all the feels on a personal level. From 1992 Its Eddie's brother John Michael Montgomery and I Love The Way You Love Me.

4: Bless The Broken Road by Rascal Flatts

This is a personal favorite of mine.  It was featured in my wedding (for the second time) to my sweet love, Rick.  The bad roads we turned down blessed the road we were and are on.  That message resonates with a lot of people. From 2004 the boys in Rascal Flatts, Bless The Broken Road.

3: Amazed by Lonestar

When I was taking my local survey of over 5,000 North and South Carolina experts, this song kept popping up.  It has been recorded  by several artists but these guys set the bar.  From 1999, it's Lonestar and Amazed.

2: I Cross My Heart by George Strait

They don't call him the King for nothing.  His music is timeless and here in 2023 still named the number 2 favorite country love song since 1995. I think I have heard this song in about 200 weddings and for good reason.  I give you, I Cross My Heart by King George.

1: It's Your Love by Tim McGraw and Faith Hill

Tim asked Faith to go on tour with him back in the 90s and it didn't take long for sparks to fly. Flash forward to 2023 and they are still married with three grown daughters. Every now and then they will still tour together and sparks still fly when they perform this one. Tim and Faith with the real love, It's Your Love
