Ryan Black and I have a thing or two in common.  We are both from Shelby, he now resides in Gastonia, North Carolina, and loves horses. I like you Ryan! This Gastonia, N.C. farmer is featured on a new national dating show where he will be looking for a wife.

This 32 year old horse trainer and breeder has 44 acres in Gaston County and is looking for that special lady to share his life with.  Why not do it on national television in a new show coming to the United States called "Farmer Wants A Wife".

Ryan will join a few other farmers from across the country, in theory hoping to make a love and marriage connection.  The show has been around a while.  It began in Australia and airs in 32 countries.

Think "The Bachelor" with a twist.  I imagine the bride hopefuls will not be familiar at all with farm life of any kind.  They show up in gowns when they meet their "farmers". The show claims it has 180 successful marriages under its belt and over 400 children as a result.  To learn more about Ryan and "Farmer Wants a Wife" get details from WNCT.
