“Baretta” Star Robert Blake Passes Away
Actor Robert Blake died yesterday at home in Los Angeles. He was 89. A statement released by his niece, Noreen Austin said, The “Baretta” star died from heart disease.
Austin told Fox News “He died at home with family around him peacefully, with long-term heart issues. He spent the last few years listening to jazz music and playing his guitar and watching classic movies.”
Blake had a career that lasted many years in Hollywood. From a child star to the huge 70’s TV series called Baretta.
Unfortunately, Blake may be better known as the defendant in a real-life murder story. He was tried and acquitted in the killing of his wife, Bonny Lee Bakley, who died outside a Studio City restaurant on May 4, 2001. RIP
