May Be Much Safer Walking In Davidson, North Carolina Soon
It soon may be much safer walking around in Davidson, North Carolina. A pair of state senators filed a bill to give the town of Davidson hundreds of thousands of dollars to make provisions for pedestrians.
If the bills pass, Davidson will receive over 600,000 to make things better for those folks who choose to get around on their own two feet. Crosswalks will be enhanced as well as signals and lights. Channel 9 reports, “What concerns me is when people come in from out of town and don’t really respect our crosswalks,” said Lori K. Tate, of Cornelius. “They don’t know the history of what has happened with certain instances in the past.”
Sadly in June 2021, a 64 year old was killed at an intersection in downtown Davidson. Steps are being taken to make sure that does not happen again. May be safer very soon to walk around in Davidson. To learn more get all the details from WSOCTV right here.
