Food Network Cancels Valerie Bertinelli Cooking Show
If there’s a bigger fan than I am of the Food Network I haven’t met them yet. I spend a lot of time on weekends watching all my favorite chefs prepare delicious meals. And, one of the shows I watch the most is “Valerie’s Home Cooking,” starring celebrity chef Valerie Bertinelli. So, I was more than disappointed to learn Food Network has canceled Valerie Bertinelli’s show.
In the past couple of years Valerie Bertinelli has been very open about her struggles with weight, depression and life in general. Fans, including me, followed her journey through life’s ups and downs rooting her on. And, she never shies away from including family and personal friends on her Food Network show. I think even beyond the food, that’s what I enjoy. It’s no secret the former child star was married to Eddie Van Halen, who died in 2020. She often talks about how difficult losing him was. Their son, “Wolfie,” appears on the Food Network show alongside his mom sometimes.
And, more recently the actress/celebrity chef split from her second husband in what appeared to be a less than friendly divorce. Now, according to reports in PopCulture, Valerie Bertinelli has “no idea” why the Food Network canceled the show. The 14th season debuted this past weekend. As it turns out, the network reportedly decided to cancel the show last summer. However, the hopes were there would be a change of plans.
The former child star came to the Food Network in 2015. And, she appears on other competition shows as part of the network. One of those includes “Kids Baking Championship.” So, I plan to watch all the episodes of the final season. I’ve watched Valerie since she was a teenager on the sitcom “One Day At A Time.” And, I will miss her cooking show.
List of All North Carolina Restaurants Featured on the Food Network
I love watching the Food Network. I watch so many shows that inspire me to make ridiculously complicated meals, but I also watch the classics like “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives” and my new favorite, “Food Paradise”. These shows inspire me to not only travel but try out new places to eat in North Carolina.
You can find plenty of good restaurants in North Carolina, and thanks to the Food Network, everyone knows about them. A team at TVfoodmaps.com has created a list of every restaurant that has appeared on a popular show on the network. As we looked at the top TV North Carolina restaurant choices, we grabbed a plate and sharpened our fork and knife.
You will find a variety of North Carolina restaurants serving everything from barbecue to seafood, and everything in between. Restaurants can be found from Wilmington to Charlotte, from fancy spots in Raleigh to hidden gems in Hickory. Sadly though, some of these favorite spots have permanently closed. We removed those from our list. However, with over 100 different restaurants to choose from, you might want to save room for dessert.
So let’s take a look at ALL the North Carolina restaurants that made the list from being on Food Network shows. Be sure to send us a message if you try out one of these spots. Enjoy!
