DishCourse Dinner Parties: The New Way To Meet People In Charlotte North Carolina

Are you new in town?  Maybe you just made a move.  Perhaps you experienced a recent life change like a divorce or parenthood.  All of these are perfect opportunities to meet up with folks going through similar things.  According to AXIOS Charlotte, DishCourse dinner parties are the latest craze when it comes to meeting new people.

Heather Siblik, founder of DishCourse, was new to Charlotte five years ago.  And, in February she started the small, themed dinner parties at Charlotte restaurants each week to help facilitate these meetings.  Heather kicks things off at each dinner to get the conversation started.  And, things take off from there.

Plus, she keeps the parties small with a max of 6 people.  Tickets for DishCourse dinner parties start at $35 and can go as high as $65.  Of course, factors can affect that including which restaurant and whether attendees decide to eat and or drink.  Also, as a bonus, local businesses typically provide a gift with the ticket.  So, you might come away with a candle or cocktail syrup in addition to a new friend.

And, the dinners have become so popular that they sell out.  Themes sometimes include "New To Charlotte," "Must Love Dogs," "Starting Over," and lots more.  Many popular restaurants around Charlotte participate in DishCourse dinner parties.

I think this is an excellent concept.  I know we all tend to find ourselves in certain seasons of life when getting together with folks going through the same thing would be welcomed.  I think of when I first became a parent those "Moms' Morning Out" get togethers with other new moms were so great.  So, take a look at the DishCourse site to check when and where the next parties will be!
