As the weather begins to warm we look to spend more time outdoors.  The Whitewater Center in North Carolina is the ideal place for adventure.  And, "Tuck Fest" is coming!  What is Tuck Fest?  According to the U.S. National Whitewater website, the Tuck Fest multi-day festival is all about outdoor activities and live music.  The site says the festival takes its name from Tuckaseegee Ford and Trail.  And, that's in reference to the historical trading route running through the property.

So, in addition to live music, demos and vendors the Whitewater Center Tuck Fest hosts competitions too.  There's everything from kayaking, climbing, paddleboarding, trail running and more.  And, all the info concerning registration and schedules is on the Whitewater Center site.

And, for those looking for more adventure the Whitewater Center Tuck Fest features clinics as well.  Clinics on guiding a raft or adventure racing and insect exploration are just a few available.  Also, don't forget to explore Stand Up Paddleboard Yoga.  Test  your balance and core strength while floating.  Wow, I don't think I am quite up to that one!  But, it sounds fun for you thrill seekers.

The U.S. National Whitewater Center in North Carolina is a beautiful place.  I remember going there when it first opened.  We did some exciting rafting, ropes courses and the zip line adventure.  They're located on the Catawba River just outside Charlotte, North Carolina.  And, there's truly something for every level of adventure.

So, take a minute and look at all the Whitewater Center in North Carolina has to offer during Tuck Fest.  It takes place April 21st-23rd.  And, the music line up is jam packed with tons of live performances.

This Is What Ziplining Looks Like In A Tree Top Canopy In North Carolina

Is there anything more thrilling than zipping through the trees? Is ziplining something you should try if you have never done it? There are zip lines that are 100 feet long and those that are over 1,000 feet long I have done. Ziplining is one of my favorite activities. It's thrilling, liberating, and just plain fun.

About Carolina Ziplines

In 2010, Keith and Barbara Bollman purchased Carolina Ziplines Canopy Tour from the original owners. In addition to their 12 children, they had 26 grandchildren with them. This contributed to the "family vibe" they brought with them. A zipline company called Carolina Ziplines is located near the Hanging Rock State Park in North Carolina. It features 11 zip lines and is located on a 27-acre farm. Located in the heart of town, it is a family-owned business where you will have the time of your life. My family and I took part in this family-friendly outdoor activity this month.
