Morgan Wallen Being Sued By Country Fan

This kind of thing makes me crazy.  Morgan Wallen had to cancel a big concert last weekend in Oxford, Mississippi.  It's a voice thing.  You can't take chances with the money-maker.  Morgan did not WANT to cancel.  Not only do these guys universally LOVE to perform, but they universally LOVE the large amounts of cash they make from performing.  Well, a fan who was upset at the last-minute cancellation has decided to sue Morgan Wallen for this cancellation.

According to TMZ, Brandi Burcham filed the federal lawsuit Monday against the country music star, accusing Wallen of breach of contract and negligence.  Ugh...

The concert was scheduled for Sunday night.  Burcham claims full refunds were promised for all ticket holders, yet she had yet to receive this.  OMG...really?  What do you think, the ticket office is just going to have a couple of million dollars for refunds on the spot?  Does every ticket goer have his/her receipt?  What about those that will claim they paid more than face value as they purchased from a secondary vendor?  THIS IS A FRIVILOUS AND CRAZY LAWSUIT!

Burcham's suit also asserts "the guaranteed refunds" do not take into account concertgoers' "out of pocket expenses," such as food, hotels, plane fees/car rentals, etc.  NO DUH, Sis.  Tell me where, on any ticket you've ever purchased, it said you would be compensated for expenses YOU incurred of your own volition in association with the event?  I'll wait.  Go ahead, look on any stub for me.  It doesn't.  Never has, never will.

You want to know a reason why ticket prices are continuing to skyrocket?  How about this kind of junk?  If a judge doesn't throw this out, or worse it's allowed to become a class action lawsuit, here's what will happen.  Artists will have to purchase expensive insurance policies for instances like this.  And be assured that cost will be passed on to you and me.

No comment as of yet from Morgan's people.  However, Morgan has been ordered by a doctor to pause his tour for vocal rest.  That should handle the rumor mill stirred from videos like the own below.  So, let's hope a judge's dismissal gavel on Morgan Wallen getting sued like this says it all.
