Coffee consumption is pretty high in the United States, but in Finland, they drink nearly four cups a day. Let’s review ways to rescue coffee grounds. Reusing coffee grounds can be a fun activity and essential to save money. Let’s start with a scrub made with coffee grounds. Mix used coffee grounds with olive oil and a dash of cinnamon to make a DIY paste sued as a lip scrub. Caffeine can help diminish cellulite, by mixing coconut oil together to hydrate your skin. Applying caffeine directly to the skin increases blood flow and accelerates hair growth, too. Some people use this next one as a hair conditioner before shampooing. Grab a tablespoon of coffee grounds and massage into your scalp for a few minutes, then rinse and shampoo. Repeat at least twice a week to see a difference. Repel insects like beetles, fruit flies, and other pests during the summer months. Scatter coffee grinds in our garden to help prevent snails and slugs. Use coffee grounds as a fertilizer as you plant in April and love on your bushes. Coffee grounds contain nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, and various micronutrients. Mixing coffee grounds within the soil will decompose releasing the nutrients to plants.

A few plants and bushes can thrive by mixing coffee grounds. Use on azaleas, roses, blueberry bushes, gardenias, and more. You can use dry coffee grounds to absorb and eliminate odors. Spread the wet, coffee grounds on a baking sheet in a thin layer and place them in a 250F oven until dry. Once finished, you can store them in an open jar and place them where you smell unpleasant orders. With this one, I’m going to try to neutralize any smells in my fridge.
