Woman Sues South Carolina Assisted Living Facility After Mom’s Death
Mom’s are special, they are really the first person we ever love. We want them to be safe and protected. A woman sues a South Carolina assisted living facility after her mom’s death.
This story is a Channel 9 exclusive . Paula Watt tells the television station that her 80 year old mom, Joyce Salts, wandered away from Carolina Gardens in Rock Hill, South Carolina . The incident happened a year ago. She says her mom was left out in the cold for several hours. Channel 9 was the first to air the 911 call.
Channel 9’s Tina Terry investigated the story. Watt says her mom was a very special lady to the entire family. And she is greatly missed. She says her mom had mild cognitive impairment. She reportedly filed a lawsuit this week against Carolina Gardens in Rock Hill after the death of her mom. This is a what Channel 9 says,” Watt’s lawsuit, which was filed Tuesday, accuses the assisted living facility and its owners of negligence and wrongful death, claiming they “…failed to properly supervise Ms. Salts, allowing her to elope from the facility” on Jan. 17, 2022.”
