Are you headed to Myrtle Beach this year?  Well, when Fall rolls around there's another new restaurant to be on the lookout for. Myrtle Beach welcomes a new breakfast spot that's actually owned by Cracker Barrel.  According to The Sun News, Maple Street Biscuit Company plans to open in Coventry Marketplace.

And, yes, the Florida based breakfast spot is owned by none other than the famous Cracker Barrel chain.  If the name is familiar to you, it's because Maple Street is already in the Charleston and Greenville markets.  And, they have a location on South Blvd. in Charlotte.  Of course, biscuits headline the menu at Maple Street Biscuit Company.  According to their website, Maple Street makes their own jams and sausage.

One item that caught my eye is "The Squawking Goat."  There's a little familiar logo next to the menu item indicating the dish was featured on Food Network.  Anyway, the "Goat" is battered chicken strips, toasted goat cheese and scratch-made sweet pepper jelly.  Yes, please!

Maple Street Biscuit Company touts "biscuits that wow."  And, they promise fresh made biscuit sandwiches with a twist.  There's also plenty of yummy southern sides, waffles and more.  Plus, to wet your whistle there's fresh-squeezed orange juice, mimosas and coffee concoctions.

This breakfast spot coming to Myrtle Beach got its start in 2012 promising to be different from all the rest.  Maple Street Biscuit Company prides itself on gracious service and "immaculately clean stores."  Cracker Barrel acquired the brand in 2019.  So, read more about Maple Street Biscuit Company and the anticipated opening in the story from The Sun News.  But, in the meantime get ready to chow down on some delicious biscuits and more!  We can't wait.

North Carolina’s Favorite Brunch Cocktail Isn’t What You’d Think

"Breakfast is brunch, and it comes with champagne, a dress code, and a hundred of our closest friends."-Gossip Girl. I've always said that what makes brunch great is the excuse to drink in the morning. Whether you elect for a mimosa (or just the prosecco with some OJ on the side if you're like me), a bloody mary, or the signature cocktail, there is no better way to start off a weekend. I'd say some f'rose in the summer is my top brunch cocktail. A new study by Eat This Not That revealed the most popular brunch cocktail in each state. And North Carolina's favorite brunch cocktail? Well, it isn't what you would think.

At least it wouldn't be my guess. Cocktails that made the list by winning a state include of course the mimosa your classic OJ and prosecco. Sex on the Beach also made an appearance. I can't say I've ever considered one for breakfast but to each their own! An expresso martini, madras (never heard of this one!), Irish coffee, sangria and more. But North Carolina's favorite brunch cocktail? It's none of those. I do consider it a classic brunch drink, just one that tends to slip my mind. In fact, maybe I'll order one the next time I go to brunch. You know, for research.

Most popular brunch cocktails were determined by search data for each state.
