Airline Wrongly Accuses Dad Of Human Trafficking On Flight To Charlotte
American Airlines may a horrifying mistake last week on a flight from Seatle to Charlotte. According to WCNC, Francisco De Jesus was traveling with his 13-year-old daughter to celebrate an older daughter’s graduation.
Francisco says when he came back from the bathroom plane he noticed his daughter was wearing an airline wing pin. When he was away a flight attendant quizzed his daughter on her situation. The attendant mistakenly thought the young girl was being trafficked.
Francisco De Jesus was met at the Charlotte arrival gate by the Head of Security. After a conversation, the security personnel realized there had been a mistake. Francisco said they were very professional but added, “My question that I would like to have answered is how did they get to label me as a human trafficker? I had my iPad; we were watching a movie. She had her phone. I mean, these are things that I thought a dad and a daughter traveling do.”
The airline has reached out with an apology.
