Surprising New Name Chosen For This Special North Carolina Street Sweeper

Every now and then we are called upon to cast our votes for one thing or another.  Maybe it starts out as casting our ballot for homecoming queen or student body president.  Then as we get a little older the ballots are for a higher office like governor or president.  But the Charlotte area showed up in droves to cast a ballot for a new piece of equipment that will hopefully keep our city a little cleaner.  This is the name voted in for this very special North Carolina street sweeper.

Maybe you have never been asked to vote for a name for a street sweeper.  I know this was my first time. It is a great way for the community to get involved and have a little say, even if it is something as simple as this.  Silly?  Maybe.  But definitely fun.

The Charlotte Department of Transportation unveiled the new name for the street sweeper and after it was all said and done, counted and recounted, the name “Sweepy McSweepface” was chosen.  I am a little surprised, I thought it would go to another potential name.

    Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, Virginia, is one of those parks that you just hear about a lot. I feel like I’ve been hearing about it since I was a little kid, but I’ve never been there. Busch Gardens is known for being extremely beautiful and scenic, which is rare for an amusement park.

    If you want that Disney experience but live on the West Coast, then you’re much closer to Disney California Adventure Park, aka “Disneyland,” than you are to Disney World. I’ve actually been to both parks, since my aunt lives near Disneyland, and I went as a kid. The park is super fun for those of any age, and it really gives you that Disney movie experience, but in a park. The park has been updated over the years, but it’s more classic than Disney World.
