If you have ever been on a cruise you know weather is an important factor. The storms that shook the Carolinas were also a problem at sea this weekend. Video on WCNC shows a Carnival Cruise that ended in chaos off the East Coast this weekend.

Passengers on the Carnival Sunshine got battered by nasty weather. Several videos were posted to social media as the ship waited to get back to port in South Carolina. You can see flooding inside the ship and waves that might even make a veteran sailor seasick.

Travelers said they spent the 12 hours waiting to dock getting rocked by huge waves and lashing rain the whole time. Luckily everyone was Ok.

  Emerald Isle is a part of North Carolina’s Crystal Coast. Its located at the western end of Bogue Banks, and features 12 miles of pristine shoreline. The town boasts a variety of lodging options and is perfect for family fun.  Emerald Isle is known for its watersports, fishing (onshore, offshore, and on the Bogue Inlet Pier), or simply relaxing on the beach and enjoying the sound of the waves rolling in.

  Burkes Beach is a mid-island beach on Hilton Head Island. It is located right next to Chaplin Community Park and is a great beach to visit on a bike, as well as one to take your dog too.
