According to WCNC Charlotte, Kyanna Woods is a Concord, North Carolina teen who has recently earned 2.5 million dollars in scholarships and is graduating at the top of her class. However, getting to this point was a struggle for her. This is one incredible young lady.
Woods was born with two holes in her heart. Her journey to better health started very early. When she was only three months old she was put through open heart surgery. After this, doctors told Kyannas parents that she would have trouble walking and playing sports. Furthermore, they said she would have to deal with learning disabilities. However, these things did not stop her. She beat all odds!
She excels in both academics and sports. Woods graduated high school with an associates degree. She has already been accepted into 61 different colleges and has $2.5 million in scholarships to use on her future tuition. Woods has already decided on what college she is going to attend.
She says "I have decided I will be attending Xavier University of Louisiana as a pre-med psychology student on the valedictorian scholarship." Kyanna's passion is helping others. This amazing teenager in Concord, North Carolina graduates with 2.5 million dollars in scholarships. She is going to do wonderful things.
