If you've lived in Charlotte for any time at all you no doubt hear people rave about Amelie's French Bakery.  The popular spot opened the North Davidson location in Charlotte in 2008.  And, before long Amelie's expanded to include locations in Park Road Shopping Center, Carmel Commons and Rock Hill.  The largest location at 380 College St. closed in 2020 amid the pandemic.  But, Amelie's has been busy renovating the spot.  And, according to AXIOS Charlotte, Amelie's French Bakery reopens the Uptown location with a beautiful new interior June 15.

Some changes include new flooring, a new dining room and private event space.  Customers can also look forward to an efficient ordering system including text alerts when orders are ready.  AXIOS points out Amelie's still offers beer, wine and mimosas although the bar was not kept in the remodel.

And, fans of the popular North Carolina French Bakery can once again enjoy delicious soups, sandwiches, salads, coffees and the pastries that made them one of the most talked about bakeries around.  I remember the first time I had the famous salted caramel brownies.  Wow.

Of course, last year Amelie's relocated their first location that was in North Davidson to a building on 36th Street.  But, no matter where you find Amelie's, just make sure you visit.  Guests love the striking French decor and walls striped in blue.  However, it's the amazing food that keeps them coming back.  For more as Amelie's French Bakery reopens in Uptown and interior pictures see the AXIOS story.
