Statesville, North Carolina Woman Gets Standing Ovation On ‘America’s Got Talent’
Dani Kerr got four yeses and a standing ovation on Tuesday night’s episode of “America’s Got Talent” according to WCNC Charlotte. She is a singer and a Statesville native who made this achievement while auditioning for the show.
A short time after Kerr initially began performing, Simon Cowell stopped her, which made the audience boo at him. He then told her that she seemed nervous and asked her if she had another song to sing.
She then began singing a song she wrote called “November.” After she finished this song, she received a standing ovation from the audience.
After the excitement calmed down, Howie Mandel compared Kerr to Stevie Nicks. Sofía Vergara stated that sounded “real” and amazing. Heidi Klum said that Kerr reminded her of Miley Cyrus and Dolly Parton. Simon Cowell even went as far as to say that she has “one of my favorite voices this year” and said she was authentic.
Kerr ended up crying tears of joy as she got a yes from all four judges and received a second standing ovation.
