Fairways For Hope Golf Tournament In North Carolina To Raise Money For Isabella Santos Foundation

Over the years, we have participated in many fundraisers, charity events and golf tournaments that combined both.  But, this is definitely one that touches my heart on many levels.  The “Fairways For Hope” golf tournament announced recently that registration is open for the upcoming event benefitting the Isabella Santos Foundation.

As Isabella’s mom, Erin, puts it, the Isabella Santos Foundation grew out of a group of people coming together to organize a 5K to bring funding and attention to children with rare cancers.  And, according to the foundation website, so far,  the cause funded nearly $7 million toward research, treatments and supporting families affected by pediatric cancer.  In accordance with this precious little girl’s dream, the mission strives to help kids “Beat Cancer, Grow Hair, and Live Their Dreams.”

Born in 2005, Isabella Santos was just 2 years old when doctors diagnosed her with stage 4 Neuroblastoma.  And, unfortunately after a tough fight against the disease, Isabella passed away in 2012 at just 7 years old.  But, her dreams and hopes live on through the foundation that bears her name.   And, Isabella’s family continues the mission with the hope that funds and awareness raised through the foundation save other children.

And now, you can join in helping this heartwarming cause.  Pure Intentions Coffee sponsors the Fairways For Hope Tournament at Raintree Country Club in Charlotte on Monday August 21.  And, registration for teams of four is $600.  The fee includes a box lunch and beverages during the tournament for those 21 and over.  There’s also an event afterward with food and drink tickets.  Plus, the best-ball format features fun events and giveaways.  But hurry,  spots are limited and go quickly.

The study measured how much money people donate as a percentage of their net income. The study also measured the proportion of people in each county who make charitable donations.
