North Carolina Flight Headed To Bermuda Had To Turn Around Due To Stinky Odor

When you are up in the air and smell something stinky, it is probably best when the pilot makes the decision to head back to the airport. A North Carolina flight headed to Bermuda from Charlotte had to turn around due to stinky odor. This makes the second time in five days that emergency crews have responded to Charlotte Douglas International Airport according to Channel 9.
A flight headed to Bermuda returned due to that odor.There were concerns of a fuel leak according to the television station. The plane managed to land safely and everyone on board went on to their tropical destination. There was also no disruptions of other flights due to the incident.
This is the full statement released by American Airlines: “American Airlines flight 2044 with service from Charlotte (CLT) to Bermuda (BDA) returned to CLT due to a reported odor in the cabin. The aircraft landed safely and without incident. Our maintenance team will inspect the aircraft and customers have boarded a replacement aircraft for BDA. We never want to disrupt our customers’ travel plans and apologize for the inconvenience.”

American Airlines Is Adding Numerous Flights From Charlotte Douglas To Warmer Weather In The Caribbean This Winter

Freig, Vice President of Operations and Commercial for Mexico, the Caribbean, and Latin America. “We are proud to strengthen our lead as the largest U.S. airline in the region, with more flights and seats to more destinations than any other single carrier or partnership.”
