We go way back with this country artist. He and Dale Earnhardt Jr are two peas in a pod.  This makes perfect sense.  Lee Brice and Dale Jr. have partnered in a new campaign with Bojangles.

Lee is from Sumter, South Carolina.  Dale Jr and Bojangles are both from North Carolina.  We see what they did here.  It is all about the new Bo's BBQ sandwich and Carolina Gold Chicken Sandwich.

Both are described by Shots as well loved "Southern Icons".  Here is what the website says about the campaign,"Earnhardt specifically has a long-standing relationship with the brand, and together he and Brice elevate the Bojangles message to new heights, pushing its boldness even further with infectious and surprising humur that reminds people what it means when the brand says, "It's Bo Time!"

We are particularly happy to see Lee doing so well.  We like to feel like we helped "raise" him in country music.  Happy to see him soar and earn a little side money with this endorsement;)  To learn more and to see the ad go to Shots.net.

Did you know Lee Brice used to be a local college football star?  He sure was.  Here are five country stars that played college ball.

5 Country Stars Who Were Also College Football Stars

We’re knee deep in college football season, and it’s always fun to look at some of the stars you know and love today, and their connection to the sport.

There are a number of notable country music superstars who locked on their shoulder pads and squared up on the gridiron.

Athletes like Garth Brooks were notable in college, but not necessarily for football. Garth threw the javelin at Oklahoma State.

Kip Moore played both basketball and golf in college. And Carrie Underwood played softball and basketball back in high school.

But since we’ve been watching college football so much lately, we thought it would be fun to look at five stars who played that sport.

Sam Hunt

Sam was once the quarterback for the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Lee Brice

Lee is a proud Clemson Tiger where he was a 6 foot 3, 270 pound lineman. Lee wanted to take his football career further but suffered a terrible injury to his right arm.

Trace Adkins

Like Lee Brice, Trace was also an offensive lineman for the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs. Standing 6 feet 6 inches tall, he wore jersey number 50 but had to say goodbye to the team
when he blew out his knee.

Chase Rice

Chase grew up wanting to play football for the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He achieved that goal playing as a linebacker. Sadly, due to a severe ankle
injury, his football career ended.

Riley Green

Not many can say their college football team defeated the Florida State Seminoles. Country singer Riley Green can. Riley was the quarterback for the Jacksonville State University Gamecocks when the team pulled off the huge upset. While at Jacksonville State, he played music at local bars and fell in love with the craft and the rest is history.
