I love to camp.  Getting out in the woods especially near a body of water where I can fish is my idea of heaven on earth.  Building a little campfire at night, put the cell phones down and enjoy your family.  More and more people are catching on to the joys of camping.  It is an affordable way to get away for the weekend and enjoy some gorgeous spots in the Tar Heel State.  Here are beautiful places to camp in North Carolina for 25 dollars or less.

Only In Your State complied a list of the campgrounds in North Carolina for 25 dollars or less.  These campgrounds are on federal lands.  I took a look and picked out a few of my favorites.  One day I will have a camper but for now we just tent camp.  Something really charming about that too.  You can't go wrong really.  Pick your comfort level and go with it.  And you don't have to be an expert.  Tent camping is pretty simple. Set up is simple.  Bring something to sleep on and in. We always bring a fan even in cool weather and take the food and water you need.

Check out Cataloochee Campground near Waynesville, North Carolina. You will find it at Cataloochee entrance road.  Carolina Hemlocks Campground in Burnsville, North Carolina looks amazing. You will find it at 7600 NC-80 in Burnsville. The Linville Falls Campground is close to the Charlotte area and looks so beautiful.  You can have tents or RVs there.  If you feel like a trip to the coast, head to Camp Point Campground for under 25 dollars at Cape Hatteras.
