You Could Stay In A Barbie Dream House Near Myrtle Beach, South Carolina
It’s the summer blockbuster taking theaters by storm. And, Barbie on the big screen took in over $155 million during opening weekend. The beloved doll from my childhood lives in a fantasy world filled with everything pink and dreamy. So, what if you could stay in a “Barbie Dream House” yourself? Well, there’s such a house in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
According to WBTW, a vacation rental named “Inn the Pink” is just off Highway 17 near 12th Avenue. However, the locals refer to it as “North Myrtle Beach Barbie Dream House.” And, believe it or not, this dream started for the home’s co-owner before we even heard about a Barbie movie. She imagined a place for girls on special trips to celebrate and be happy. Of course, that dream included plenty of photo op spots in the vacation house.
Cristy Weber told WBTW of the decor, “they don’t have to spend part of their vacation doing that to get ready for their bachelorette parties and things like that.” The home just recently opened for short term rentals. Weber named the Barbie Dream House “Inn the Pink” with inspiration taken from the paint color.
Plus, the over the top interior scheme includes nearly a dozen wallpapers. And, here’s the real dreamy part for vacationers. It’s a short walk to the beach and sleeps as many as 22 people. So, the North Myrtle Beach Barbie Dream House could be a dream come true for your next girls’ trip to the Grand Strand.
Weber says they’re working on a pool and she has ideas about using the house for charity auctions in the future. And, Weber’s timing with the release of the film is perfect. Read the full story and how the Barbie Dream House came to be in North Myrtle Beach. So, start calling all the girls!
